Subsequent to the exciting trip to Alaska followed by train travel to the famous Rockies, you reach Calgary to board the flight to Toronto. Meanwhile, Simon, an old friend now settled in Canada, is at the Airport to receive you and drive you 45 miles towards the province of Ontario. Ontario is where the Legendary Niagara Falls are located. The famous horse shoe shaped waterfalls are probably dream destination for many a travelers.
Marriott on the Falls
Hotel ‘Marriott on the Falls’ stands up to its name. Located right opposite the fabled Falls, the deafening sound of falling water reaching its porch is unmistakable. Serendipitously, at the check-in counter you are informed that your Room has been upgraded to a Suite. Pleased with the upgrade, you enter the allotted suite situated on the 7th floor of the Hotel. Voila, right across its large glass window you see the spectacular Niagara Falls. An overwhelming scenario that you had heard or seen in pictures till date.
Fire Works
A little later, still standing near the window, you witness the sky above get scintillated. The pyrotechnics show schedule at 10 pm has begun. As a result, the excitement of scores of visitors gathered along the promenade is palpable.
The next 10 minutes, as the fire-works continue, each one is captivated watching fire crackers shoot up in the sky from various corners and explode. Alongside, the colorful beams of lights aimed on the dropping water mass look stunning as well. These powerful beams constantly change the hue of the otherwise white frothy water making it a incontrovertible awe-inspiring spectacle.
As the show ends, the crowd gradually begins to disperse. So then it’s time for dinner now. Incidentally, a Restaurant in the vicinity that serves Indian dishes seems to be the right place to be in.
Satiated, you now decide to meander around the streets of this well-lit city. After some time, on your request, Simon drops you near the falls, with an assurance to return the day after to take you back to Toronto.

Meanwhile strolling along the walk-way close to the Falls you cannot help but remain fixated at the incredible velocity of the falling water. Lastly, you pass from in-front of the beautifully lit, the famous Casino of Niagara to finally reach your Hotel. Once in room, you check, it’s well past midnight.

Next, there is this iconic Skylon-Tower that has observation deck right above. Over here you get a spectacular panoramic view of the falls enough to satiate your eyes.

Finally, you look out from the suite window once gain to admire the unlimited grandeur of this phenomenon before you retire for the day. So it is not without Reason; you tell to yourself, that this marvel figures among the ‘Top Natural Wonders of the World’.

Furthermore ‘Marriot on the Falls’ provides its guests with a pass that can help them travel without cost in ‘WeGo’ buses. These ‘WeGo’ buses operate in and around Niagara. Together they ply on three different routes namely ‘Blue Line’, ‘Green Line’ and ‘Red Line’
.Following morning as you awake, the famous falls are once again in front of your eyes. In between rubbing your eyes you see the calm flowing River water suddenly get aggressive the moment it lands into the 51 meter deep cliff. Instance of nature’s implausible manifestation that is exceptional and inexplicable.

After satiating yourself with the elaborately laid Buffet Breakfast on the 1st floor of the hotel, you walk across the road to avail the services of Blue Line Bus. Consequently you are at the pier from where your scheduled voyage to the falls with ‘Hornblower Niagara Cruises’ is about to commence.
Over there, at the entry gate, the queue is intimidatingly long. Soon you are provided with a reddish color thin plastic Slicker/Raincoat supposedly to protect you from splashing water. Together with the slicker, you then walk down the Great Gorge towards the Cruise.
So as the boat begins its 20 minutes journey, the excitement within you too gets ratcheted. Furthermore, the moments get increasingly captivating as the boat passes intimidatingly close to the three magnificent falls, Namely, The American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls and finally the Horseshoe Falls.

Finally the climax is reached as the boat inches closer to the Horseshoe Falls. The thunder created with water descending down the straight cliff is deafening. Once it touched the surface, it splashes back with huge force.
Following this the atmosphere gets filled with thick mist. Together with the sound, the density and speed of splashed water is so intense that it pierces through your rain cover to soak you completely. In summary, the experience is worth every penny.
After alighting the boat, visitors have the choice. You can either take the slicker along or leave it in the bin. In this case you chose to take it along and keep it as a memoir.
Besides, for some extra adventure and greater adrenaline push you can try to zip over the 670 meters long wire. Incidentally, this wire hangs 65 meters above the gorge and extends up to the base of the horse-shoe falls on the Canadian side. Over there, tickets can be purchased at the counter of ‘Zipline to the Falls’.
By the way, it is May 1st – ‘Labour Day’. The celebrations therefore are conspicuous. As a result, leading brands are beginning to offer substantial discounts at their stores within the Factory Outlet Mall. Hence, to take advantage, you hire a taxi and get dropped at the Mall few miles away. Thus you are now amidst slew of irresistible offers.
Back to the Falls
After couple of hours of shopping, you are back at the falls. So its time now to witness one more session of fireworks. Together with your Camera gears, you join other visitors at the promenade. Next it’s 10 pm, and the sky is set to sparkle. The pyrotechnics show has now begun.. And believe you me, You shall never be disappointed.
Soon after, enjoying a drink with dinner at the Hotel’s restaurant, you are ready the next morning to leave Niagara. Needless to say, you leave together with the impression that shall be abiding.
The final halt of this incredible 24 day tour is now at – The Capital City of Canada – Toronto.
Here, Simon is well in time. So then post sumptuous Breakfast we head for a cool 90 minute drive towards Toronto. Shortly, passing besides the impressive lake Ontario and then from close to the famous CN Tower you are at your pre-booked Hotel Hilton, situated right in downtown Toronto.
In conclusion, as the adage goes: “We are sum total of our experience.”
So rightly said !! Hence isn’t it prudent to spend money on experience rather on things? JustMyOpinion.
